Partners and Organizations which contributed to the Muncie Big Read
The following partners/organizations supported the Muncie Big Read activities. Through promoting and organizing the Big Read activities, these community partners and organizations can help people in Muncie to:
(1) Build good professional networks with the organizations in Muncie;
(2) Create a good sense of community;
(3) Expand their critical thinking skill and their views on technology, media, and their future life;
(4) Have chances to access to the available educational and training resources in Muncie;
(5) And know where to get support when they look for a job opportunity.
Ball State University
Teachers College and The Teachers College Dean's Office
Teachers College provided us with financial and leadership support. The Teachers College Dean's Office donated some materials for the Muncie Big Read workshop and will provide Award Certificates to the winners of the Muncie Big Read Artistic Competition. Building Better Community
The Ball State University Building Better Community Office (BBC) supported students who
registered for the immersive learning course (Organizing Adult and Community Education
Programs) in organizing and marketing the Big Read activities in Muncie.
The BBC also provided light food for the kick- off event, such as: cheese, crackers, veggie trays,
fruit trays, cookies and lemonade.

Office of Community Engagement
Ball State University’s Office of Community Engagement will provide cookies, veggie trays, a cheese &
cracker tray, lemonade, iced tea, and water, in the amount up to $300 for the Muncie Big Read Artistic
Competition event.

Teachers College Immersive Learning Mini-Grant
Teachers College Immersive Learning Mini-Grant provided $1000 to support students who
registered the immersive learning course (Organizing Adult and Community Education Programs) to
organize and market the big read activities in Muncie.

Muncie Public Library provided the in-kind support for the Big Read
